Keep your activation record
Save the email containing your product key somewhere you'll find it again. A password manager works perfectly. You'll thank yourself the next time you change machines or reinstall.
Activate online when possible
Online activation through your Microsoft account ties the licence to your profile, making future reinstalls effortless. Phone activation works as a fallback if needed.
Use only one key per machine
